To be new house minority leader. Washington, D.C., Dec. 2. Republican leaders in town awaiting the opening Congress said today that Rep. John W. Martin Jr., of Massachusetts., Chairman of the Republican Congressional Committee, will be elected House Minority Leader to succeed Rep. Bertrant N. Snell of New York, who did not seek re-election. A canvass, reportedly already made, will give him the support of 125 of the 170 republican members of the next House
