Production. B-25 "Billy Mitchell" bombers. Forward fuselage sections of B-25 bombers move down the long overhead conveyor line in the North American Aviation plant at Inglewood, California. All assemblies are made on these sections before they reach the final assembly floor and join other major assemblies. In addition to the battle-tested B-25 "Billy Mitchell" bomber, used in General Doolittle's raid on Tokyo, this plant produces the P-51 "Mustang" fighter plane which was first brought into prominence by the British raid on Dieppe
