Summary
Significance: One of New York's first skyscrapers when built in 1874, the Tribune Building was raised to its present height by the addition of nine stories in 1905. It was designed by Richard Morris Hunt and was one of a group of prosperous, 19th century newspaper buildings front on Printing House Square.
