Summary
Significance: The jail at the Tule Lake Project was part of the Stockade, or Area B, a detention center established by the U.S. Army in late 1943 following a series of altercations between Japanese-American "evacuees" and staff of the War Relocation Authority. The Tule Lake Project is listed as California Historical Landmark No. 850-2.
