Significance: It is between Woodward Park and the Tulsa Garden Center at 21st and Peoria, it is a 4 1/2 acre garden in a series of 6 terraces. The style of the garden is Italian Renaissance and the 6 terraces begin at street level on Peoria Avenue and rise up a gentle slope back almost 850 feet. The garden was constructed in 1934 by the WPA using hand labor and teams of horses. It was designed by C. Burton Fox, landscape architect and was completed by 1935 with the first plantings occurring in that same year...
