Summary

Significance: The valve control house contributes to the significance of Twin Lakes Reservoir No. 1. // The valve control house is a rectangular concrete building (11' E-Wx 9.5' N-S) with a concrete hipped roof. It is located on the north side of the reservoir adjacent to the dam. There is a small three-light window covered with reinforced steel rods in the east, south, and west elevations. There is a single wood door covered with sheet metal located in the north elevation. The building rests on a concrete base. The date "1937" is inscribed in the east wall of the structure. The building houses the pump, oil tank, and pipes for the operation of the hydraulic cylinders for opening and closing the water intake.
