A total of 159 potential "legislative status steps" through which a bill may pass are presented in the manner of a flow chart under the following "types of action": "Introductory Steps, Committee Steps, Discharge Steps, Calendar and Scheduling Steps, Floor Measure Steps, Floor Action Steps, Conference Steps, Floor Conference Steps, Presidential Steps, [and] Floor Veto Motion Steps." The left side of the diagram delineates the steps taken by the House of Representatives and the right side of the diagram delineates the steps taken by the Senate.
