Summary

Significance: Building No. 807-A is located within the Saufley Field Historic District, which as been determined eligible for the National Register of Historic Places. Constructed in 1942 at Saufley Field, Building No. 807-A was initially utilized for ammunition storage for aircraft kept and maintained at Building No. 807, an associated hangar. Later, the small building functioned as general storage. Building No. 807-A is one of a number of buildings constructed at Naval Air Station (NAS) Pensacola's Saufley Field, an auxiliary station to the main base established in 1940. Although it did not directly support NAS Pensacola's primary training mission, Building No. 807-A provided a necessary support function to Building No. 807's daily operations. Despite an addition, which is compatible to the building's original fabric, Building No. 807-A remains recognizable to its historic appearance. Building No. 807-A is a contributing property to the Saufley Field Historic District.
