Significance: The U.S. Naval Base at Pearl Harbor was designated as a National Historic Landmark in 1964. Building No. S246, classified as a Category 3 structure, is a 53 year old magazine located on Ford Island within the Pearl Harbor National Historic Landmark. As a Category 3 structure, it has been determined that Building No. S246 functioned as part of the Pearl Harbor Naval Base, but is only of minor importance to the historic character of the National Historic Landmark.
