Summary

Photographic survey of the Ural Mountains and Western Siberia, primarily of the waterways in and around Kyn, Shadrinsk, and Tiumen. Includes many views of named rocks along the Chusovaia River, as well as views of cities, towns, and villages, rivers, reservoirs, lakes, and ponds. Also includes images of factories, mines, dams, sawmills, logging, hydrometric stations, mineral springs, and railroads (Shadrinsk-Sinara, Perm-Kungur). Includes images of religious facilities (monasteries, cathedrals, churches, and chapels), religious articles, and the graves of Saint Dalmat and Metropolitan Felofie. Single images document a monument to Ermak, a group of Iambaevskii yurts, and Prokudin-Gorskiĭ and his photographic team at a campsite along the Chusovaia.

Hand-written Russian captions accompany most prints.
