Engraved print shows birds-eye view of ships in the Dardanelles Strait in Turkey after the battle between the Turks and forces of the Venetian republic on June 26, 1656. Commander Lorenzo Marcello, leader of the Venetian forces was killed. Print shows ships numbered 1-29 with explanatory key in inset box in the right upper corner of the print. Also shown are villages, encampments and battles along the shoreline with view of hills in the distance.
