Summary
Significance: The Waite-Potter house represents a quintessential early eighteenth-century New England vernacular house type known as the Brick-ender. Although the massive brick-end wall and chinmey that gave this dwelling form its name is all that is extant, the house site still yeilds important information about early eighteenth-century life as the site of significant archeological investigations.
