Summary
Significance: It is representative of the barn structures found in the Delaware River Valley. It was part of a farm complex operated by a prosperous farmer. The barn is hewn and pegged with wood siding and slate roof. The present site will be inundated by the Tocks Island Reservoir. It is planned that the barn will be rebuilt at Slateford Farm, Northampton County, PA, as part of a historic village.
