Where rugs are made? Rugmaking is the principal industry of the town of Pirot in Serbia, east of Nish on the famous Berl in to Bagdad railway. Two-thirds of the populace are engaged in rug work. The materials are delivered to their little hutlike homes where every member of the family is engaged in sewing rugs for the European markets
