Summary
Significance: Architecturally significant as representative of the early work of a renowned architect. Last remaining structure of Bristol College- the first college in Bucks Co. with a program that combined manual labor with intellectual advancement. It was later used as an orphanage, and a Civil War Hospital. After the war it was reopened as a school for orphans of colored soldiers, known as Bridgewater School (1868-1880s).
