Significance: A simple gabled box changed by numerous alterations and additions, this modest dwelling is one of the earliest of the workingmen's houses constructed along lower Dodge Street in the late 19th Century. In scale, orientation and composition this house contrasts with surrounding dwellings, most of which were built during the late 1870s and 1880s.
