Summary

Significance: The majority of the quarters within the Brick Officers' Quarters complex are doubles (or duplex), represented by plan Types "C," "D," "E" and "F." While together the doubles represent 23 structures which comprise 46 of the 91 quarters, the "C" and "D" are the largest and most exclusive, consisting of only six structures intended for field officers. With the same 3,263 square foot floor plan, Types "C" and "D" vary only in exterior detail. The principal difference is in the front entry vestibules.
