Another election loser pays. Another Al Smith better paid off today with Frank B. Neville, of Milwood Clark County, Va., pushed Ralph R. Harris, of Washington, in a wheelbarrow from the Peace Monument up Pennsylvania Avenue to the White House

Al Smith call on Secretary of Navy. Former Governor Alfred E. Smith called on the Secretary of the Navy Charles Francis Adams today in Washington to ask for the help of Navy engineers in the construction of a mooring mast and landing platform for transatlantic dirigibles of the 1,100 foot tower of the Empire State Building, now under construction in New York. The former Governor is a Director in Empire State, Inc.

Al Smith is given warm greeting by Navy [...] when he calls on Secretary of Navy Adams. Work was practically at a standstill today at the Navy Department in Washington when former Governor Al Smith called on Secretary of the Navy Charles Francis Adams, asking the advice of Navy Engineers in the construction of mooring mast on new Empire State Building in New York. The Happy Warrior is shown besieged by admirers as he left the Navy Building after the conference with the secretary. In the right foreground (with derby) is William F. Kenney, who accompanied former Governor Smith to Washington
