Visitors' buildings. The visitors' reception building at the north end of Chickamauga Dam performs the same functions as described for the one at Pickwick. Its overlook terrace is partly covered by a canopy roof and projects toward the chamber of the navigation lock for a more favorable view of the locking operation, which is of great interest to visitors.
