Woodring awards distinguished Flying Cross to Commander of Mercy flight. Washington, D.C., Feb. 14. Secretary of War Harry Woodring, today presented Major Calen W. Haynes, Air Corps, with the distinguished Flying Cross for his work in commanding the recent flight of an Army bomber to Chile with a load of medicines and supplies for survivors of the Chilean earthquake.
