Oldest U.S. Navy officer poses for bust by noted Russian sculptor. Rear Admiral George Collier Remey, retired, and oldest living officer of the United States Navy, having his likeness sculptured by Moses Dykaar, noted Russian sculptor who has made busts of many famous Americans. Admiral Remey is 87 years old and was retired from the Navy in 1903. He participated in the siege of Yorktown and also commanded a division of boats in the night attack on Fort Sumter, Sept. 8, 1863. He was in many other important naval engagements during the Civil War
