General Pershing pays homage to Unknown Soldier. Washington, D.C., Nov. 11. General John J. Pershing, AEF Commander, did not forget his buddies who gave their all 'over there' as the 20th anniversary of the signing of the Armistice was observed today. Armistice Day. Hale and hearty again, he journeyed to Arlington National Cemetery where he placed a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The General is pictured in center flanked by Lieut. Col. Emil F.
