Civil War Veterans active as House doorkeepers. Washington, D.C. May 28. William H. Young, 95, and Colonel John T. Ryan, 90, doorkeepers in the House Gallery in the Capitol, are eagerly looking forward to Memorial Day when they will take part in excercises at Arlington National Cemetery in honor of the many Civil War heroes with whom they served.
