Fully equipped to cope with any situation they may encounter these New York City volunteer auxiliary firemen put on a demonstration of the matter in which they would handle the damage caused by an incendiary bombing attack. An incendiary bomb has fallen through the roof of this building and is blazing in the second story. One worker has already entered through the window and is using an "Indian" fire pump on the small blaze which has started. His fellow workers are following up the ladder equipped (from top to bottom) with the following items: top man carries a portable acetylene torch used to cut through metal to effect entrance or to extricate occupants caught under fallen beams or pipes; the next man carries a roof rope, while the man at the bottom bears a two-way portable radio.
