Church, Republican of Illinois, whose persistency in making points of order and objecting to unanimous consent requests for adjournment, has earned him the title of "The Most Unpopular Member". The House recessed on Thanksgiving Day only "by the courtesy of" rep. Church, as House Leader Rayburn put it. Rep.
