A load of gold. Nothing is quite so precious to the Polish people as the supplies furnished by the American Red Cross. This wagon load of milk and chocolate sent to an orphanage a short distance from the railroad was guarded by two men. No American stage coach ever carried a box of gold dust which was so carefully guarded. Money can be obtained in Poland, but good nourishing baby food is something priceless.
