A walking text book of information on George Washington, Dr. John Clement Fitzpatrick is guardian for the 400 enormous volumes containing most of Washington's original letters, personal and private, and their answers, which are now concentrated in the Library of Congress in Washington. Dr. Fitzpatrick has been connected with the Library since it was opened to the public in 1898. He is now editing and compiling the new government issue of Washington's writings in 25 volumes, of which 14 are now finished, 3/20/1937
