A Queen in the Garden of Eden. A young Eve and a young Adam appear before Queen Marie of Roumania in a costume that was popular in the Garden of Eden and received a modern outfit of clothes. The picture was taken at a distribution of American Red Cross relief supplies during which the Queen acted as an American Canteen worker. Most of the recipients of American generosity were mothers and children. Rather than have their children appear before the Queen in their rags, many mothers dressed them in just a smile. The boy at the right has just received his clothing and is waiting for his little sister to chat with the Queen
