Hollywood star arrives to participate in celebration of National Airmail Week. Washington, D.C., May 15. A typical Hollywood reception was accorded Miss Marion Weldon, Paramount starlet, as she arrived in Washington today to represent the movie city in participating in National Airmail Week. Miss Weldon will appear in the forthcoming Paramount Technicolor Production "Men With Wings" shortly to be released. She was chosen for the honor of representing Hollywood during National Airmail by the 22 pilots and stunt men who are in the production with her. Miss Jean O'Connell, daughter of Ambrose O'Connell, Executive Assistant to the Postmaster General, is pictured presenting a bouquet of flowers to the star. PMG Farley receives airmail plane model. Washington, D.C., May 18. Postmaster General James A. Farley, receives from Miss Marion Weldon, Paramount Starlet who is playing in the Paramount production "Men with Wings" a model of the De Haviland Liberty plane used twenty years ago for carrying airmail, sent from Hollywood as a gift from William Wellman, producer-director of "Men With Wings" a history of air mail. Miss Weldon is also taking part in National Airmail week here in Washington, 5/18/38

Screen starlet assists D.C. Postmaster in planting memorial tree to airmail pilots. Washington, D.C., May 16. Within the shadow of the U.S. Capitol, Miss Marion Weldon, Paramount starlet, with the assistance of D.C., Postmaster Vincent Burke, plants a Deodor Tree on the city postoffice grpunds as a memorial to the airmail pilots who have lost their lives. Representing Hollywood in observing national Airmail Week, Miss Weldon, who has just finished work on the forthcoming Paramount Technicolor production "Men with Wings", brought the tree to Washington as a gift of the Altedena, Calif. Chamber of Commerce, 5/16/38
