It is lined with thousands of armature coils, and over 100,000 sheets of laminated iron which serve to conduct the electricity. The stator frame is part of the generator inside of which revolves the rotor or revolving part. The whole frame weighs 425,000 pounds and is shipped in four quarter sections.
