Buckeye Graded School, - typical two-room consolidated school in Pocahontas Co. There are 15 like this. Very small playground and they are up against and in the fork of a main traveled road and branch road. These come from some of the poorer farms and walk from 2 to 3 miles each way. One walked 4 miles all winter. In some country districts, the children go barefoot thro[ugh] the snow, several miles.
