Danger of subversive activities increased by the war conditions in Europe, has resulted in the appointment of 20 experienced policemen to augment the Capitol police force. Riffe, C.I.O. organizer, according to this testimony before the Senate Civil Liberties Committee today. He told of going to the Reublic Steel Corp., plant the night the strike was called and found "about 150 policemen" with Capt. James L. Mooney in charge. The situation was tense Riffe said, 7/2/37
