Representatives of six major commodity exchanges today conferred with Department of Agriculture officials on methods of preventing so-called commodity counselors from defrauding the public through promises of extra-ordinary profits. Assistant Secretary of Agriculture Harry L. Brown is pictured as he laid before the group recommendations of Secretary Wallace for "vigorous action" to discourage brokerage houses from accepting business from certain types of commodity counselors. On the right of Mr. Brown is Dr. J.W.T. Duvel, Chief of the Commodity Exchange Administration.
