U.S. expert on crop insurance. Washington, D.C., Sept. 21. Considered by agriculture leaders to be the nation's foremost authority on crop insurance, Roy M. Green is now in charge of Division of Agriculture Finance, U.S. Department of Agriculture. 48 years old, Green is a Native of Missouri and a graduate of the U. of Missouri. After teaching Agriculture Economics at his alma mater for a few years he transferred to the Kansas State Agriculture College at Manhattan, Kans., to teach the same subject. In 1934 he was named Vice-President of the Production Credit Corporation at Wichita, a branch of the Farm Credit Administration. Coming to Washington with the Farm Credit Administration in 1935 Green's ability as a crop insurance expert was recognized by Secretary Wallace, who drafted him for his present post. 9/21/37

The first printing of the new three-cent stamp which will be issued to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution, came off the press today at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. Pan American awarded New York-Bermuda airmail contract. Washington, D.C., Jan. 15. Submitting the only bid, Pan American Airways today was awarded the contract to carry air mail from New York to Hamilton, Bermuda. In announcing the bid the Post Office Department said the following rates would prevail --.00001 cents per pound for a specified load of 800 pounds and .000005 cents per pound over 800 pounds.
