This is the nerve center of the "greatest bookkeeping job in the world". The photograph above shows workers in the records office running off daily production report, which accurately pictures details of the ebb and flow of each of the several operations necessary to set up an individual ledger account for each worker and the various indexes prepares to insure acccuracy and ready reference.
