Dotheboys Hall in session tucked away upstairs over the store. Equipped with antique, dilapidated benches and chairs. The lessons begin at 6 A.M. and last for six hours, and these children who attend in the morning go into the mill in the afternoon and vice versa for the required eight weeks, which the law specifies. Taking everything into consideration it shows what travesty vocational guidance may become, and is in itself the best example of Dotheboys Hall I have ever seen, except that it is not half so practical as was Squeer's school. See Hine report. Location: Huntsville, Alabama.

Steel. Ford plant. A blast furnace being cast. Here the iron ore starts on its way to becoming an automobile part. The metal travels down sanded trenches; the trench to the left is conveying molten metal to giant ladles; trench on the right carries the slag off. Blast furnaces are cast in this manner about every six hours. Ford River Rouge plant, May 1941

Production. War housing trailers. Knotty pine walls and beamed ceilings give the prefabricated Westcraft home a neat, cozy interior. The door in the background opens into a bathroom, equipped with full-size standard fixtures, including shower. The house may be assembled in four to six hours by inexperienced men, in half the time by skilled carpenters. It may be dismantled in even less time for removal to another site. It is made by Western Trailer Company of Los Angeles, builders of the war housing trailers
