Naval aviator sets new speed mark to win Curtiss Marine Trophy., Lt. W.G. Tomlinson, right, roaring over a 100 mile course on the Potomac River, in his tiny Navy fighting plane, won the Curtiss Marine Trophy race today and broke the record for service seaplanes by a wide margin.
