These weights had evidently been used on platform scales to weigh grain or meat. They became in the perverted minds of the Bolsheviks tortures and means of execution. They were suspended over the head of the victim who was tied hand and foot. The victim was warned that if he did not give true and complete information, the slender cord holding the weights would be cut. The discolorations on the weights are evidence that they are used for the above grisly purpose
