A poster comes to life. Long awaited by Woolslayer, he celebrated the visit of the soldier and sailor with a party at his home. Friends, relatives and fellow workers made up the list of guests. No ordinary party, this one will be remembered by the Woolslayers for years to come. Festivities started at 8 p.m. and lasted well into the next morning. A poster comes to life. "I've been waitin' for this moment," said George Woolslayer as he shook hands with his poster-model colleagues, Sergeant Vineyard and Chief Evans, "and I'm mighty proud." Although Woolslayer was somewhat more voluble than his service friends, all of the men admitted to being thrilled at the meeting. None had met before. It was the soldier's and sailor's first visit to a steel mill and they watched the operations with interest and laid down a continuous barrage of questions. Working on a rush order, Woolslayer was not able to leave his job to meet the other two at the station, as had been originally planned.
