McNear, Jr., President of the Toledo, Peoria and Western Railroad system, who was the final witness before the finance subcommittee studying profit sharing. The president of the 300-mile road told Senators Herring and Vendenberg that the government could best help railroads by leaving them alone and by giving some relief on social security taxes.
