Despite a cold drizzle, nearly 1000 Washington youngsters romped over the south grounds of the White House today as the guests of President and Mrs. Hoover at the traditional Easter eggrolling. Mistaking the gates to west entrance of the White House grounds for a roadway, many careless and tipsy motorists have crashed through them to their sorrow. Workmen are now replacing the old ones with new strong ones which will be well lighted. White House guards can now rest in peace during the night, 9/10/37
