U.S. expert on crop insurance. Washington, D.C., Sept. 21. Considered by agriculture leaders to be the nation's foremost authority on crop insurance, Roy M. Green is now in charge of Division of Agriculture Finance, U.S. Department of Agriculture. 48 years old, Green is a Native of Missouri and a graduate of the U. of Missouri. After teaching Agriculture Economics at his alma mater for a few years he transferred to the Kansas State Agriculture College at Manhattan, Kans., to teach the same subject. In 1934 he was named Vice-President of the Production Credit Corporation at Wichita, a branch of the Farm Credit Administration. Coming to Washington with the Farm Credit Administration in 1935 Green's ability as a crop insurance expert was recognized by Secretary Wallace, who drafted him for his present post. 9/21/37
