Tarred and feathered Count Igor Cassini, (above) Washington newspaper columnist, was reported by Sheriff W.S. Wolfe to have been tarred and feathered near Warrenton, Va., June 25. Hospital attendants said Cassini entered the institution covered with tar and feathers from head to foot but that minor brush burns were his only physical injuries. (Picture from files).
