Two women workers are shown capping and inspecting tubing which goes into the manufacture of the "Vengeance" (A-31) dive bomber made at Vultee's Nashville division, Tennessee. The "Vengeance" (A-31) was originally designed for the French. It was later adopted by the R.A.F. and still later by the U.S. Army Air Forces. It is a single-engine, low-wing plane, carrying a crew of two men and having six machine guns of varying calibers

B-24 Liberator Bomber and C-87 Liberator Express. Cross-section of the C-87 Liberator Express shows the transport as an adaptation of the B-24 Liberator bomber. In the Liberator Express, the fuselage is stripped, the nose is closed, turrets are eliminated and a large loading door installed. Production. Launching of the SS Booker T. Washington. America needs ships to carry its guns and tanks and planes to the battlefronts of the world. A few minutes after the SS Booker T. Washington, first Liberty Ship named for a Negro, was launched at the California Shipbuilding Corporation's Wilmington yards, workmen were busy laying the keel for a new ship in America's growing Victory Fleet

Group of boys who work in Suncock (N. H.) Mills. It is a large corporation, employing 1200 hands, but in all the three mills, I found only 1 girl and three boys that seemed to be under 14. Unusual conditions for a large N.H. Mill. Sanitary conditions here are exceptionally good, for this section. I investigated all three mills freely and was unknown and usually unattended by anyone. Location: Suncock, New Hampshire.
