These were all of the small boys I found working at the Suffolk (Virginia) Knitting Mills, the day I was there. One of the smallest boys had been working there for two years. Not many under fourteen. Location: Suffolk, Virginia.

Millie May Crews ? (in front of her father) 369 B Street. She has been working in the weave room for one year. Began at eleven years. Just reached twelve according to Family Record which says she was born November 12, 1901. These two girls and one who is sick work in the Merrimack Mill. Father is a carpenter. See Hine report.
