The downpour of rain during the last inaugural ceremonies has resulted in congressional action creating the Capitol Auditorium Commission in efforts to have constructed an auditorium in which to hold indoor inaugurations or great national conventions. Teacher and scholar meet again. Washington, D.C., April 1. Memories of school days were recalled today when Dean Harry M. Bates of the Michigan Law School, faced Senator Henry F. Ashurst, Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, across the witness table in voicing his opposition against the President's court reform plan. Senator Ashurst was a student in Dean Bates' (right) law class at Michigan in 1903. High Shoals (N.C.) School. This is average attendance. Enrollment is 80. Only one other school in town and about 15 attend that.
