Photograph shows a group of men, women and a young boy at the entrance to the commandant's quarters at Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania. While three of the men are in uniform, three others are in civilian clothes, including Captain George Stoneman, who is seated on the steps. Also identified in the image are Miss Smith Pleasanton, Graham Theoft, and Miss Gwinn.

Eine einzige Glasplatte Negativ erfassen beide Bilder mit einer Stereokamera. Abzüge dieser Negative sollten mit einem speziellen Betrachter, einem Stereoskop, betrachtet werden, das ein dreidimensionales ("3-D") Bild erzeugte.
