Während des Bürgerkriegs produzierten Fotografen tausende von Stereoaufnahmen. Stereografien waren während des Amerikanischen Bürgerkriegs populär. Eine einzige Glasplatte Negativ erfassen beide Bilder mit einer Stereokamera. Abzüge dieser Negative sollten mit einem speziellen Betrachter, einem Stereoskop, betrachtet werden, das ein dreidimensionales ("3-D") Bild erzeugte. Diese Sammlung umfasst Stereographennegative aus Glas sowie Stereographenkartenabzüge.
