Zusammenfassung
Houston Astrodome, 8400 Kirby Drive, Houston, Harris County, TX Bedeutung: Ursprünglich als Harris County Domed Stadium bezeichnet, wurde der Astrodome 1964 fertiggestellt. Als Heimat der Houston Colts und Houston Oilers konzipiert, wurde es von vielen als das achte Weltwunder bezeichnet. Es war das erste Mal, dass ein komplett umzäuntes und voll klimatisiertes Stadion für Baseball und Fußball gebaut wurde. Das Gebäude umfasst 9,14 Hektar Land. Der Außendurchmesser des Astrodoms ist kreisförmig und beträgt 710 ', die freie Spannweite des Kuppeldachs 642'.
