Als Beispiel für Wrights "Usonian House" wurde das Bauwerk, das 1965 für eine vorfahrtsberechtigte Autobahn in Falls Church, Fairfax County, vom Abriss bedroht war, von Mrs. Robert A. Leighey, dem National Trust for Historic Preservation und dem National Park Service gerettet, versetzt und restauriert. Dieses bedeutende amerikanische Architekturdenkmal wurde auf Woodlawn Plantation in der Nähe von Mount Vernon verlegt.
